Antonino Riccobono erhielt seinen PhD Titel in Elektrotechnik an der University of South Carolina (USA) 2013 und seinen BSc and MSc an der Universität Palermo (Italien) 2006 und 2009.

Im September 2013 begann er seine Arbeit als postdoktoraler Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im ACS-Institut. Dort war er Leiter des Teams "Real Time Simulation and Hardware in the Loop”. Er verwaltete Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte im Bereich Modellierung, Steuerung, Stabilität und Automatisierung von Leistungselektronik/Energiesysteme durch Verwendung von MATLAB/Simulink und Hardware-In-the-Loop Echtzeitsimulationen. Während seiner Zeit am ACS veröffentlichte er 1 Journal Paper, 1 Magazin-Artikel sowie 8 Konferenz Paper. Eines der Konferenz Paper erhielt die Einladung zur Veröffentlichung in einem Journal. Des weiteren leistete er einen Beitrag zu einem Patent und mehreren Kapiteln eines Buches, beide Beiträge sind im Prozess abgeschlossen zu werden. In Anerkennung seiner Fachkenntnisse in HIL-Echtzeitsimulation wurde er eingeladen, einen Tutorenkurs über “Research on Modern Power Systems supported by Hardware-In-the-Loop Technology” bei einer internationalen Konferenz in 2016 zu halten.

Seit Juli 2017 arbeitet er als Senior Training Engineer mit MathWorks in Turin, Italien.
