Gonca Gürses-Tran

Address

Gonca Gürses-Tran was employed as a research associate at the Automation of Complex Power Systems Institute from August 2018 to July 2022.
Following her project work in H2020 InterFlex, where she worked on model predictive control of microgrids, Ms. Gürses-Tran took over the leading position in H2020 CoordiNet. In CoordiNet, she mainly worked on business model developments and supported the Nordic demonstrator with day-ahead forecasts based on machine learning.
Since the end of 2019, Ms. Gürses-Tran took over the role in project and strategy development with a main focus on energy technology topics.

During her time at ACS, Ms. Gürses-Tran was responsible for the handling of the basic course System Theory 2, where she was particularly involved in new, digital content and student support.

In the context of her dissertation, Ms. Gürses-Tran is working on the central role of reliable prediction methods for the coordination of distribution and transmission grid congestion.
