Antonino Riccobono

Ph.D

Address

Antonino Riccobono earned his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from University of South Carolina (USA) in 2013 and BSc and MSc from University of Palermo (Italy) in 2006 and 2009, respectively.

In September 2013, he joined RWTH Aachen University (Germany) where he worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems (ACS) – E.ON Energy Research Center. Within ACS, he also covered the charge of Leader of the Team “ Real Time Simulation and Hardware in the Loop ”. He managed research and developement projects in the area of modeling, control, stability, and automation of Power Electronics Power Systems using MATLAB/Simulink and Hardware-In-the-Loop real-time simulations. During his experience within ACS he published 1 Journal Paper, 1 Magazine Paper, 8 Conference Papers. One of his Conference Paper also got the invitation to the extension to Journal Paper. He also contributed to 1 Patent and a couple of chapters of a Book, both contributions in process to be finalized. In recognition to his expertise in HIL real-time simulation, he got invited to hold a tutorial about “Research on Modern Power Systems supported by Hardware-In-the-Loop Technology” to an International Conference in 2016.

Since July 2017, he has been with MathWorks as Senior Training Engineer, Turin, Italy.
